Text Recruitment: Ability to send screening forms via SMS
We are pleased to introduce the ability to send screening forms via SMS. This enhancement offers a more efficient and timely method of engaging with candidates, particularly those who prefer mobile communication. By expanding the available delivery options, this feature aims to improve response rates and support a more seamless screening experience.
In addition to the SMS, a courtesy email will also be sent to ensure candidates have multiple ways to access the screening form.
The screening form incorporates the scoring mechanism and supports the conditional (hide and show) questions, allowing recruiters to efficiently shortlist top-of-the-funnel candidates.
Key Highlights:
- Accelerated shortlist process: Only the most relevant candidates progress through the funnel, significantly reducing manual effort and accelerating the shortlisting process.
- Faster Candidate Engagement: Reach candidates instantly through SMS, reducing delays and improving form completion rates.
- Higher Response Rates: Text messaging typically yields higher open and response rates than email, increasing the likelihood of timely responses.
- Improved Candidate Experience: Provides a convenient and accessible communication channel, especially for candidates who prefer mobile interactions.
How to Use:
To use this feature, please ensure that:
- SMS capability is up and running on your Springboard instance.
- The SMS provider account has been set up.
- The SMS template should be configured on
- The company logo is to be shared with the support team.

Ability to search candidates based on Qjumpers Skills
As part of QJumpers candidate import, we added new skill categories listed below. New skill categories:
- Certification
- Language
- Award
- Publication
- Membership
- Patent
- Expertise
These categories were not searchable via the Candidate search → Experience, Skills and Qualifications section.
We’ve expanded our candidate search capabilities by introducing support for skill-based filtering of candidates imported via QJumpers. This enhancement allows recruiters to:
- Seamlessly search candidates by skills that were captured during the QJumpers import process.
- Improve talent matching accuracy by leveraging skill-specific queries within Springboard
- Streamline shortlisting efforts by quickly identifying candidates with the right expertise.
This update is part of our ongoing efforts to provide smarter sourcing tools and improve recruiter efficiency at the top of the hiring funnel.
How it works:
For candidate search via menu:
- On your Springboard instance, click on Candidates -->Candidate Search -->Experience, Skills and Qualifications.
- On Skill/ Qualification field, type the skill that you want to search candidates for.
- Click on Find Candidates.
For candidate search via side-bar:
- On your Springboard instance, click on Candidates -->Candidate Search -->Experience, Skills and Qualifications.
- On Skill/ Qualification field, enter the skill you want to use to search for candidates.
- Click on Find Candidates.
Support for adding RTH approvers on multi-recipient orbeon form generated via rules
To further streamline approval workflows and minimise manual configuration, we’ve introduced an enhancement that allows approvers defined in the Requisition-to-Hire (RTH) process to be automatically included as recipients when a multi-recipient orbeon form is triggered via the rules engine. The feature works for maximum 3 approvers added on the RTH. This improvement eliminates the need to manually assign approvers each time a form is triggered, ensuring that the correct stakeholders are consistently included in the approval process.
Key Benefits:
- Automates recipient assignment, saving time and effort for administrators and recruiters.
- Ensures accuracy by consistently including the right approvers as defined in the RTH process.
- Improves governance and compliance by maintaining a traceable and complete approval trail.
How it works:
The change can be seen while configuring rules engine.
- At Process designer, Step 3: Actions, select Generate Form --> Select a form template -->Recipient: Multi-recipient.
- Under recipient type, add RTH approvers by selecting Approver 1, Approver2 and Approver 3.
- Add other details and save the rule.
- When a job is created via the Requisition-to-Hire (RTH) process and a workflow is attached to the job, the configured rule will trigger at the specified step and automatically send the orbeon form to all RTH approvers for action.
Ability to store additional phone numbers and social profiles for a candidate
To support modern recruiting practices, especially as communication habits and platforms continue to evolve, we are introducing the feature to support additional phone numbers and social profiles for a candidate. Originally introduced in response to QJumpers sending multiple phone numbers and social profile links during candidate import, we recognised that this capability could offer broader value to the product and our clients. By supporting multiple contact methods and social links, we enable richer candidate profiles and more effective communication.
This feature enables us to record additional phone numbers by category.
Key Benefits:
- Provides greater flexibility and accuracy in candidate contact information.
- Helps recruiters gain more insight into a candidate’s online presence and professional brand.
- Improves candidate engagement through multiple communication channels.
How it works:
- The additional phone numbers if received from Qjumpers can be seen under Candidate’s Profile tab --> Additional Phone numbers field.
- Or the recruiters/ admin users can store the additional phone numbers for a candidate under this field.
- The phone numbers can be managed from the pop-up.
- Add phone number
- Delete
- Edit
- Reorder
- From the additional numbers, any number categorised as "Mobile" can be swapped with the candidate’s primary mobile number for any future correspondence.
Similarly, additional social profile links can be stored and seen under Additional Websites field.
Ability to edit and delete file name under “Documents” tab
With the Release 7.39, we’ve added the ability for authorised users to rename the candidate documents addressing a key challenge for the clients managing a high volume of files and needing better document organisation.
To maintain a clear trail, all documents rename actions will be recorded under the Candidate’s à Communication tab.
Key Benefits:
- Users with the appropriate permissions can now replace, rename, or remove documents as needed.
- Enhances control over candidate documentation without requiring backend support.
- Simplifies document management, making it easier to keep candidate files accurate and up to date.
This feature empowers hiring teams with greater flexibility and improves the overall efficiency of managing candidate records.
We’re also introducing the ability for authorised users to delete candidate documents from the Documents tab, providing greater control over document management. The deletion of the document will be captured under the Candidate’s --> Communication tab.
How it works:
- Go to candidates’ job grid.
- Click on a candidate --> My Documents.
3. Click on the pencil icon against the document to edit the file name.
4. Type the new file name and click on the save icon.
5. Click on the Save icon to save the new file name.
6. A confirmation message is displayed on the top right.
7. The change is saved as a System Event under the Communication tab.
For deletion:
- Go to candidates’ job grid.
- Click on a candidate --> My Documents.
3. Click on the Delete icon against the document to be deleted.
4. On the pop-up box that appears, click on the Delete button.
5. The confirmation message will appear on the top.
Enhanced careers site location search to support user input when not selecting from the auto-suggest list
On the careers sites using the Keyword/Location combo search, proximity-based results only work if users select a location from the auto-suggest list.
If users manually type a location and skip the auto-suggest, the search defaults to a basic text match on the location field (often set to a state code), leading to less accurate or incomplete results.
We have added an enhancement to solve this problem by expanding the text-based location search to include location, suburb, state code, state label, and postcode.
During a text-based search, users will see an info message:
“Includes jobs with location details containing the term xxxx. For more precise searching, select a location from the suggested location list.”
No message appears during open searches, and proximity searches retain their existing distance message.
Key Benefits:
- This significantly improves the accuracy and breadth of search results, ensuring candidates find relevant opportunities even if their input doesn't match an exact suggested term.
- It enhances the user experience by accommodating natural user behaviour, reducing no-result scenarios, and increasing job discoverability.
Please contact the Application Support team to enable this feature for your Springboard instance.
Careers site application* using Apply with Seek 2.0
*New application form framework.
Seek has introduced enhancements to Apply with SEEK integration, and to ensure seamless integration between our system and SEEK, and to pass down the benefits, we have made some changes on our end to accommodate the Seek update. The candidates will now be able to login to seek and use their Seek profile and default resume attached to prefill the application form. This will help provide the candidates with a more intuitive and streamlined application experience.
With this release, the change will only be available for clients leveraging the newer Application Form Framework.
By adopting these updates, clients will benefit from:
- Enhanced Candidate Experience: The new version offers a richer SEEK Profile for pre-filling application forms, providing candidates with a more personalised and efficient application process.
- Streamlined Authorization Flow: The revised authorization flow simplifies the integration process, reducing complexity and potential errors.
- Forward Compatibility: The new version is designed with forward compatibility in mind, allowing for easier updates and integration with future SEEK enhancements.
How it works:
For clients using the new application form framework with Springboard–Seek integration enabled, candidates will now see an Apply with Seek button. This allows them to pre-fill application form fields using data from their Seek profile.
The Apply with Seek button requires configuration. Please reach out to your Peoplescout Account Manager or our Application Support team to switch it on.
*On the new application framework, a new START YOUR APPLICATION pop-up is being introduced as highlighted above which will allow the candidates to make selection from one of the above:
- Apply Manually – The candidates will be able to start their application from scratch.
- Apply using candidate profile – Using this option will prefill the application form fields from the candidate profile.
- Use my last application - Using this option will prefill the application form fields from the last submitted application.
- Apply with Seek – For clients using Seek, if this option is enabled, the candidates will be able to prefill the application form fields using their Seek profile.
