This document outlines Springboard release version 7.40, scheduled for release in September 2025.
Version 7.40 introduces the following new features, outlined in the contents list below.
This release also covers bug fixes and other small improvements, which are outlined in these notes.

This document details each key change you will need to be aware of to leverage these improvements effectively. Please note that some screenshots in this document represent pre-release versions and may differ slightly in the production release.

Text based interview self-scheduling
We’re excited to announce a new capability that brings more flexibility and speed to your recruitment process i.e. the ability to send interview invitations via Text/SMS.
As text messaging becomes an increasingly preferred channel of communication, this feature ensures that candidates receive their interview details quickly and conveniently, right on their mobile devices. In addition to the SMS, a courtesy email will also be sent to ensure candidates have multiple ways to book or unbook their interviews.
As part of this change, we are also introducing an enhanced interview booking portal featuring a fresh, modern look and feel. This upgrade is designed to provide candidates with a smoother, more intuitive, and convenient experience.
Each candidate receives a secured and unique link for the interview booking on their mobile device.

- Improved candidate engagement: Texts help improve the success rate as it helps communication in real time which results in faster response.
- Improved Convenience: Easy access to available slots and booking options anytime, anywhere.
- Reduced no-shows: Clear and timely communication increases attendance rates.
- Sleeker Design: A clean, modern interface that makes navigation effortless.
Key Highlights:
- Recruiters can now send interview invitations directly through SMS in addition to email.
- Candidates will receive the invite to book, book and cancel confirmations on their phones, reducing the chance of missed communications.
- Enhances the candidate experience by offering a modern, mobile-first touch point.
- Works seamlessly with existing interview scheduling functionality available within the Springboard.
Getting Started:
For RPO clients - To start using this feature, please get in touch with your Account Manager.
For SaaS clients – The feature can be enabled by our Application Support Team. Please contact them if you’re interested in switching it on your Springboard instance.
Please ensure following prerequisites are met to start using this feature:
- On your Springboard instance, SMS account should be set up under Administration --> Admin Console --> SMS Accounts.
- SMS capability is up and running on your Springboard instance.
- The interview invites and other interview emails have SMS templates are setup under App Comms.
- The company logo is to be shared with the support team.
How to Use:
As admin user:
- Go to Administration -->Admin Console -->Interview Auto Communication -->Bulk interview default configuration and turn on Automatic SMS Notification toggle switch.
- Select the SMS provider account to be used and charged for sending the text messages.
- Under Invitation Message section, select the message template to be used for invitation and reminders.
- Configure other communications to be sent to the candidate for booking and unbooking.
As a recruiter:
When candidates reach the Interview stage on the recruitment process, follow the bulk interview generation process.
- On the Event Details screen, a visual indicator is displayed to signify that the interview invites will be sent via SMS to the applicants.
- Under the Configure Comms tab, verify the default SMS provider details and that the Enable SMS Notification toggle switch is on.

As a candidate:

As a candidate, I should receive an SMS with a link on my phone to book the interview.

I click on the link and am redirected to the interview booking portal. I select the date and time for the booking and click on the Continue button.

The interview details are displayed to be confirmed. Click on the Confirm button.

The interview is booked. You can add the booking to your calendar using Add to calendar option.
- A confirmation SMS and email is sent to the candidate by the system.
- If at any time, I need to view interview details, reschedule or cancel the booking, I can access the confirmation page using the same link sent over the SMS.

From the confirmation screen, I click on the Cancel button.

Clicking on the Cancel link opens the below page. I confirm the details and then click on Cancel my booking.
- A confirmation pop-up opens, and I select Cancel booking to confirm the action.

Clicking in the Cancel booking will remove the interview booking. However, the interview can be rescheduled using the Reschedule button.

If the interview is scheduled on the same day as the link is being accessed on, the candidate will see the below screen.
New SMS provider - Twilio
We are excited to announce the integration of Twilio SMS into the Springboard platform. This enhancement enables recruiters to communicate with candidates directly via SMS, improving engagement, response times, and overall candidate experience.
The number setup needs to be done at Twilio followed by the API key and secret configuration at Administration --> Admin Console --> SMS Accounts.
Introducing New SMS UI
With Release 7.40, we are introducing a fresh new interface for the messaging module Springboard. This update marks another milestone in our journey to enhance text-based recruitment capabilities.
The new design offers a sleeker, cleaner, and more modern look, making it easier for recruiters to compose and send SMS messages to candidates quickly and confidently.
This improvement is part of our ongoing commitment to deliver tools that are both powerful and intuitive, ensuring a smoother experience in managing candidate communications.
Getting Started:

On your Springboard instance, SMS account should be set up under Administration à Admin Console à SMS Accounts.
The feature is available for Springboard v8 users only.
How to use:

The new messaging interface can be invoked from this icon on the applicant.

A slide-out bar will be displayed as shown in the screenshot below.

Type your message and click on the Send icon.

The message statuses are shown in real-time, including any replies from the candidates.
Key Features:

Show text for this job only: By default, from the candidates’ job grid, all SMS sent to the candidate are displayed on the messaging interface. If you want to see SMS sent or received in the context of the job, turn this toggle switch on.
- Refresh: The messaging interface auto-refreshes every 30 seconds. However, there is a refresh icon on the left to force the refresh.
- Job reference number: The job reference number is displayed under each message to signify the context of the message.
- Date and time: The date and time of the message sent and received are displayed with each message.

Status of the message: The icons displayed with the message signify the status:
- Sent:
- Delivered: Two checks and a green background colour on the message signify that it has been delivered.
- Queued: Clock icon and a amber background on the message signify that it has been queued.

Failed: Error icon and a red background on the message signify that it has failed.
The failure reason is displayed by hovering over the alert icon.
6. Invocation: The messaging interface can be invoked from a candidate in a talent folder, via candidate search results, and from the notification center.
7. Privacy and access: The privacy rules and logic are still applicable, i.e., the hiring manager is not entitled to read/ send messages from another job, then the messages will be hidden for them for other jobs.
8. Error state: If, for any reason, the messaging won’t work - SMS provider account not set, mobile number is invalid, or mobile number is unavailable for a candidate, the error message is displayed.
The new SMS UI is also accessible via the notifications center.
Notification alerts can be configured can be configured as an existing behaviour if:
- SMS couldn't be delivered or sent

A response is received.
So when a notification alert is generated, the recruiters can click on the notification alert to access the SMS UI.
Text-based screening – enhancements
With this release, we are building on the text-based screening capability introduced in the previous version, Release 7.39, adding new functionality to make the experience more seamless, automated, and efficient for recruiters and candidates alike.

Key Enhancements:
Automation Support for Screening Forms:
To simplify the screening process, minimize manual effort, and improve efficiency, we’ve introduced the following automation features:

Generate text-based screening forms via rules engine: Rules can be set up to trigger forms on specific stages, streamlining the overall workflow.

The action is available as Initiate text screening on the rules configuration Step 3.
- The SMS/ email template is pre-selected.

By default, the expiry date is selected as 7 days, and reminders are also available to be configured.

Handle the results on the form submit: Rules can be configured to act on form submission results, allowing candidate scores to be automatically evaluated and used to screen applicants without additional manual intervention.

The feature is available at Step 1 on rules configuration as On screening form submit.
- On Step 2, select the screening form name from the drop-down.
- Add additional conditions, such as the Screening form score.

Add actions such as shortlist, change status, add tags, notify HMs, and send comms. etc.

Screening Form Reminders (Manual and Rule-Based)
- A reminder will be sent every selected number of days until submission or form expiry.
- To improve candidate response rates, reminders for pending screening forms can now be sent either manually by recruiters or automatically via configurable rules.

This ensures candidates are nudged appropriately without recruiters having to follow up individually each time.
Bulk Print Support:
Recruiters can now bulk-print completed screening forms. While generating a bulk print, select the Documents linked to an application option to include the screening form with the bulk print.
Column grid support for the last submitted screening form score:
The last submitted screening form score is displayed on the grid.
Pre-configured Springboard dashboard
With this release, we are introducing a preconfigured dashboard tailored for Springboard users. It offers an out-of-the-box view of key recruitment activities, allowing users to get started immediately without the need for manual setup.
The dashboard includes the following dashlets by default:
- My Jobs
- My Advertisements
- My Folders
- My Tasks
- My Talent Pipelines
- My Interviews
The preconfigured dashboard will be available for new users as well as for existing users who have not yet set up their dashboard. This enhancement provides users with a structured starting point rather than a blank canvas, while still allowing full flexibility to add, remove, or customise dashlets through the configuration settings.

Engagement Dashboard under Quicksight analytics
Candidate engagement metrics for the campaigns sent from Springboard will now be available under embedded QuickSight Analytics module.
The feature will be available for the clients using campaign monitor for sending their campaigns and on embedded analytics.
The metrics will help the clients gain a holistic view of the campaign performance with dashboard charts that track metrics such as opens, clicks, bounces, and shares. This data empowers you to refine your strategy and improve campaign outcomes.
The dashboard shows the data in the following formats:

- Engagement metrics - Provides a powerful view into the health and performance of your campaigns. It showcases the core metrics such as clicks, sent, unique opened, bounced against each campaign.
- Engagement Trends – This is a trends chart that shows the campaign performance over time.

- Bounce rate: Total bounced ÷ Total sent

Datacom Integration
We are excited to announce the new integration between Springboard and Datacom HR/Payroll system.
This integration streamlines the hiring process by ensuring a smooth transfer of candidate and job information from Springboard into Datacom once a candidate is hired.
Key benefits include:
- Seamless data flow - Candidate and job details are automatically transferred to Datacom, reducing manual data entry.
- Faster onboarding – The new hires can be set up in Datacom immediately after being marked as Hired in Springboard.
- Accuracy and consistency - Automated mapping reduces the risk of errors and ensures records stay aligned across systems.
This means less administration, fewer errors, and more time to focus on delivering a great candidate and employee experience.
Allow all configured HMs to see the private requisitions
We’ve enhanced access to private requisitions. Hiring managers who are associated with a private requisition can now view and manage it directly.
What’s new:
Previously, private requisitions could only be accessed by the recruiter assigned to the job.
Now, associated hiring managers also have visibility and access to their private requisitions, improving collaboration and streamlining the hiring process.

- Faster decision-making for hiring managers.
- Improved transparency and collaboration between recruiters and hiring managers.
- Simplified workflow for managing private requisitions.
Flag bounced emails
Emails that fail to send will now be clearly marked as “Failed” in the Communications tab.
Benefits:
- Easily identify emails that didn’t deliver.
- Take corrective action promptly.

Resolving multi-column filter-related issues
We have addressed concerns raised for the multiple columns issues such as where performing Quick Actions from the candidate grid did not work correctly when column filters were applied to two or more columns, issues related to check/uncheck the filters, filtering using “Blank” field etc.
